Who We Are

Haddenham Healthcare Ltd is a registered Australian business based at Unit 30, 170 Forster Road, Axxess Corporate Park, Mount Waverley, VIC 3149. Our ABN No is 35 143 485 385. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles (APP) as set out in guidelines issued by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). Information That We Collect

Haddenham Healthcare Ltd processes your personal information for the primary purpose of meeting our contractual obligations and to provide you with our products and services.

The sort of personal data that we may collect is: -

  • Name
  • Address
  • Contact Number and/or Email
  • Sensitive Information in the form of health/medical information e.g. measurements
  • Credit/Debit card details to facilitate payment where appropriate

We receive this information from you directly or from your clinic/therapist in order to be able to fulfill an order we have received.

 
How We Use Your Personal Data (Reasonable Basis for Processing)

We will never disclose, share or sell your data; unless required to do so by law, nor will we use it for any secondary purposes such as direct marketing.

We collect your personal data solely in the performance of a contract or via your direct request in order to be able to fulfill the order we have received. Where in the performance of a contract the information needed has usually been provided by your clinic or therapist.

This is our primary purpose and failure to act in this way will mean we are unable to fulfill your order and this in turn may adversely affect your treatment.

Sometimes it is necessary for your data to be transferred to our factories in Germany or Denmark in order to complete the order. In such cases the transfer is by secure encrypted code and the factories will not hold your data for any longer than is necessary to fulfill that order and/or comply with their applicable laws.

We retain your data for seven years to comply with Accounting law. Please note: all Credit/Debit card information is destroyed immediately upon successful payment.

The basis on which we collect process and store this information is, where provided by a clinic/therapist, on the grounds of permitted health situation as set out in the APP; in short to fulfill the clinic/therapist order. Where provided by you directly, we assume an implied consent in that you give us the data freely in order for us to supply you with the goods requested.

 

Your Rights

You have the right to access any personal information that Haddenham Healthcare Ltd processes about you and to request information about: -

  • What personal data we hold about you
  • The purposes of the processing
  • The categories of personal data concerned
  • The recipients to whom the personal data has/will be disclosed
  • How long we intend to store your personal data for
  • If we did not collect the data directly from you, information about the source

 

If you believe that we hold any incomplete or inaccurate data about you, you have the right to ask us to correct and/or complete the information and we will strive to update/correct it as quickly as possible; unless there is a valid reason for not doing so, at which point you will be notified.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint. Complaints should be submitted in writing to our offices in Mount Waverley marked “APP Complaint”. All such complaints will be investigated fully and a detailed response will be provided within 30 days. If you remain unhappy you have the right to complain directly to the OAIC at https://www.oaic.gov.au/

We would also like to inform you that we do not use any automated decision-making system in our processes.

 

Safeguarding Measures

Haddenham Healthcare Ltd takes your privacy seriously and takes every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. We work hard to protect you and your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place.

 

Sensitive Data

Owing to the nature of the products we offer, we sometimes may need to process sensitive personal information (known as sensitive data) such as measurements or sizing for medical garments. Where we collect such information, we will only request and process the minimum necessary for the specified purpose and identify a compliant legal basis for doing so.

 

Direct Marketing

As already stated, with regard to patients, we will not use your data for any direct marketing or secondary purpose at all.

However, for therapists/clinicians, we do want to continue to market our services to you and so wish to maintain your details on our system so that we can update you about new products/catalogues, arrange appointments, notify you of training events etc.

To do this we assume an implied consent to this secondary purpose of direct marketing as we feel this would have been a reasonable assumption of what you would expect us to do.

However, you have the absolute right to opt out of this secondary purpose and this can easily be done at any time by emailing tim@hadhealth.com.
